Karise Eden Takes Tell Mama! To New South Wales And Queensland

National rollout of Janis Joplin by Karise Eden continues with five new east coast performances

Following sold-out Melbourne premiere performances and strong early demand for the recently announced Western Australian and Victorian , ARIA Award winner Karise Eden has announced a further five dates of Tell Mama! – Janis Joplin by Karise Eden, with dates across New South Wales and Queensland this October and November.

Since helping redefine rock more than half a century ago, Janis Joplin has never stopped finding new audiences. In Tell Mama!, Karise revives the spirit and extraordinary legacy of one of rock's most influential voices in a powerful live production.

Rather than an impersonation, Tell Mama! is Karise's deeply personal interpretation of the artist whose music has shaped her own journey. Beginning with an intimate acoustic set inspired by Janis's early folk-blues recordings, the first act weaves candid storytelling through the music as Karise explores Janis's artistic evolution while sharing the profound influence her songs have had on her own life and career.

The production then builds into a full-scale live concert featuring Karise's powerhouse band and a three-piece brass section, delivering unforgettable performances of classics including Piece of My Heart, Cry Baby, Move Over, Try (Just a Little Bit Harder) and Me and Bobby McGee, alongside Karise's own original song, Tomorrow, inspired by Janis's Kozmic Blues.

"I never wanted this to feel like a traditional Janis Joplin tribute," says Eden.

"I wanted people to feel Janis's influence throughout the show while still very clearly seeing me inside it too. It's not costume or impersonation. It's about honouring the emotional honesty and fearless spirit that drew me to her music in the first place."

The latest tour announcement sees Tell Mama! continue its national rollout, inviting audiences to rediscover Janis Joplin through one of Australia's most distinctive live performers.
